- leaves opposite, linear, 1/4 inch long, overlapping and appressed to stem
- flowers tiny, congested at branch tips, vaguely yellowish, 5-parted, the parts with bristle tips
- known only from the vicinity of Thompsonville in the northwestern corner of Jim Hogg County
- probably flowers in spring
