- densely pubescent perennial with trailing stems
- all parts with milky sap
- leaves +/- stalkless, ovate, usually < 1/2 inch long
- flowers inconspicuous
- fruit a 3-lobed capsule 1/8 inch long
- endemic to Texas, restricted to deep sands in the Coastal Bend and on the South Texas Sand Sheet
