  • densely pubescent perennial with trailing stems
  • all parts with milky sap
  • leaves +/- stalkless, ovate, usually < 1/2 inch long
  • flowers inconspicuous
  • fruit a 3-lobed capsule 1/8 inch long
  • endemic to Texas, restricted to deep sands in the Coastal Bend and on the South Texas Sand Sheet
